FAQs

  • Send me a message! I promise to do my very best not to talk in tech jargon, or overcomplicate things.

Whether you need an existing site re-designed, or a brand new one built, I am happy to give advice or an opinion.

Our first meeting is always free, and there is no obligation to book in.

  • Once you are booked in, and have provided the assets (images and words you want to use), it generally takes me 2-3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the site.
I will provide a timeline and estimated delivery date once your deposit has been received.

  • I take a 50% deposit upon booking, which allows me to set aside time in my diary to work on your site.

The final 50% is payable once the work is complete, and we are ready to publish the site.

Payment is by bank transfer please.

  • One of my aims is to create a robust site which is easily maintained by you.

However, I also understand that this may be something people prefer to outsource, if time or confidence is short.

If this is the case, I can offer a rolling monthly maintenance package, based upon the complexity of your website.

  • I can create simple logos, but I am not a graphic designer.

I designed my own simple logo, which will give you an idea of the type of thing I can create.

  • I always recommend Squarespace as it is the platform I love to build with!
However if there is another platform you would like to use, I am always happy to discuss the option.

If you already have a website built on another platform, I can scope it out as part of the Website Healthcheck package.

  • No! I try to be very open and honest about the total cost of a website.

The details of my packages can be found on my Packages page. They all include 2 rounds of amendments, so there is plenty of opportunity to tweak the finished product.

You will also need to budget for the following:

Hosting cost (the ongoing fee to “host” your website on the internet)

Domain Name cost (the unique name of the website, which is typed into the address bar, usually paid annually).

I can set this up for you if you prefer, as I often get better rates with my professional memberships.

There are some extras you can have on top eg. a custom email address to match your domain, but I will discuss this with you and make sure it is clear exactly what you are paying for.
