A full website design and build for Jess Janneman of Ease Therapies
Jess approached me in Spring of 2023 to discuss her brand new business, offering acute and chronic pain-management therapy. Having known Jess through her other work as an amazing massage and refloxology therapist, I knew immediately that her business idea was going to be really exciting. She is incredibly talented at what she does, and the reason behind her retraining is both inspiring and testament to her dedication as a mum. You can read all about it via her Instagram account here
We scoped out the requirements of the site during that first meeting, and I then went away and created a moodboard, trying to capture the look and feel that I felt would best reflect what Ease is all about.
Jess then took this away and worked with a wonderful graphic designer who refined the colour palette and created the gorgeous logo you can see above.
While we waited for the photography to be completed and edited, I set about building the site, which I knew needed to look great on Desktop, but even better on Mobile as previous experience told me that this would be the primary means of users accessing the site.
It was great fun to play around with the design and spacing to create the sense of flow that I wanted to achieve. My personal favourite section is the “about” section on the homepage, which was designed to add impact by separating the phrases onto different lines and (on the desktop version) subtly mimic a spine.
By this point Jess had begun taking appointments via a separate booking platform, so it was necessary to integrate this seamlessly into the website booking page.
Once the photography came back, we carefully selected the right images for each page and the jigsaw was complete.
The final site went live and I think has been our most complimented site, ever!
Thanks to Jess for being a wonderfully positive and easy-going client, but with a critical eye for detail (of course!), and to the other creatives who contributed to the brilliant final result.
